Laser Hair Removal: What Nobody Tells You About Session 3
The middle of a laser package is where most people quietly give up. Here's why that's the exact wrong moment.
If you're three sessions into a laser hair removal package and wondering why you still have stubble, you're not alone — and you're not failing the treatment. You're running straight into the reality of how the hair growth cycle actually works.
The cycle the marketing doesn't mention
Laser only affects hairs in the active growth phase (anagen). At any given time, that's only about a third of your hair. That's why we space sessions six weeks apart — we're literally waiting for the next wave.
Why session 3 feels discouraging
By your third session, the fastest-growing hairs are gone, which creates the illusion that progress has stopped. It hasn't. The slower, finer hairs just haven't cycled yet. We see the biggest visible drop between sessions 4 and 6.
Stick with the plan
Clients who finish a 6-session package typically see 80–90% permanent reduction. Clients who stop at 3 usually end up restarting from scratch a year later. The math is simple — so don't quit in the middle.
